| Idea Cellular reaches Jammu and Kashmir | | | Early Times report Jammu, Oct 14 : Idea Cellular, another telecom group and mobile operator today announced its entry in country's northern most state of Jammu and Kashmir. ‘’Keeping in mind the mobile communication needs of the people of the state and to drive usage of mobile telephony services, Idea Cellular has designed a unique network to cover large population areas and has introduced tariff plans and value added services in J&K,’’ Ambrish Jain, Director, Operations IDEA Cellular told reporters at a press conference here this afternoon.
The Director further said that the mobile network would be available in Jammu city, Bari Brahamana, Bishnah, Katra, Udhampur at the start of the operations and would progressively grow to cover the major towns in the Kashmir Valley before the end of the year.
Mr Ambrish said that Idea subscribers in Jammu and Kashmir would experience superior connectivity, whisper clear audio quality and zero call congestion on the network.
‘’Idea has also introduced special voice portal with rich content in the areas of news, sports, entertainment and other regional content in Dogri and Kashmiri languages J&K subscribers,’’ Mr Ambrish added.
He further said that special tariff services, have also been launched for pre-paid subscribers in the state. Xxxxxxxxxxx
