| Expose anti-people policies of Cong-NC coalition: PDP | | | Early times report Jammu Oct 14 Exhorting the party workers to expose anti-people policies of Congress-National Conference coalition, general secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Balbir Singh today said that only PDP can fulfill wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society. Speaking on the occasion on the launch of membership drive in Jammu East Zone, PDP general secretary said, “ Policies and programmes of PDP were formulated by incorporating aspirations of different regions and sections of the society. “PDP is not merely a political party but a movement to establish peace and tranquility in this region”, he said and asserted that main agenda of the party was to restore lasting and sustainable peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Calling upon party workers to involve sections in the membership drive, Balbir Singh said that some vested have launched a vicious campaign against PDP and it was hightime to counter such false propaganda. He further said that PDP was committed for the development and betterment of all regions and sub-regions of the State. He asked the workers to remind the people about developmental works initiated in Jammu region during the tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayed. Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader Daman Bhasin asked the party workers to take message of PDP to every section as agenda of party was aimed at mitigating miseries of all sections. Recalling revolutionary steps taken by Mufti Mohammad Sayed during his tenure as Chief Minister, Mr Bhasin said that many projects were started during that period. He pointed out that it was first time during the tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayed that discrimination with Jammu was removed. Mufti Mohammad Sayed has set an example of good governance and balanced development. Former MLA Shanti Devi, district president Jammu urban R K Bali, Jammu East zone president Chaman Angral, Susheela Jamwal, Dr Mohani Sharma, Nirmal Kour and others also addressed the meeting
