| CA & PD deptt fails to curb price hike | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 14: The state president of Shri Ram Sena Rajiv Mahajan has shown great resentments against the administration and department of consumer affairs and public distribution for not implementing the rates of consumable goods as fixed by the CAPD dept. He said that the prices of all the consumers goods are increasing day by day and the people living below poverty line cannot purchase their requirements of onions, potatoes, etc. what to speak about sugar and other consumable goods. He said neither the administration of state government has bothered to check-up the present prices of the goods. He said shop keepers, stockiest, and other dealers are fixing their own prices and the poor people are facing difficulties in purchase of their requirements of daily use. Mahajan, said that when the Elections are approaching, whether it may of assembly parliamentary, the government is showing its sympathy towards the people that the government would provide the consumable goods on low rates, but when the elections are over, the government never bothered to look the welfare of the public in general, which is quite surprising to note. He has urged the government to solve the burning problems of the people of Jammu, especially those who are below poverty line and poor people, for getting the price of daily consumer goods which include vegetables, oil, sugar, especially onions and potatoes, fixed on lower rates in the interest of the public general, otherwise the Sena will go for an indefinite agitation against the policy of the state government. Among those were present Ajay Gupta, Bal Krishan, Ajay Mahajan, Jaspal Singh, Kamal Krishan Koul, Vicky Kumar, Parul Gupta, Vijay Kumar, K Salaria and others.
