| VL workers hold meet, highlight demands | | |

Jammu, Oct 14: The all J&K village level workers association (VLWA) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of BR Gupta its general secretary condoled untimely demise of association activist. In the meeting present body was dissolved due to the promotion of Kapoor Singh and a new adhoc body was elected unanimously in its place. Rajinder Kumar Sharma of Rajouri was elected as new president of the association Jammu region. Pankaj Raj Pal, Baldev Raj, Baldev Singh, Girdhari Lal Padha, Rattan Singh, Ishtyaq Ahmed were elected as members of adhoc committee.
Addressing the meeting Rajinder Kumar Sharma highlighted the demands of village level workers and appealed the minister for rural development department Ali Mohd. Sagar to intervene personally and concede the genuine demands of the association. Several resolutions were passed in the meeting demanded early reorganization of rural development department, release of DA installment due from July this year and removal of anomalies of SRO 93 etc.
