| DDC reviews working of NRHM of distt Ramban | | | Early Times Report Ramban, Oct 14: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), KB Magotra reviewed the functioning of NRHM in the district here today. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner, (Revenue) Chief Medical Officer, Jaffer Ahmed, medical Superintendent, Dr. Mohd Anwar, BMO’s of Banihal, Gool, Ukhral, and Batote and also ASHA workers from Banihal block, namely Shagufta, Rehna, Tasleema, Khalefa and from Ukhral, Rajani, Kashmaria Begum, Parveen Akhtar and Rita Devi. During the meeting DDC obtained the feedback of the ASHA workers and difficulties being faced by them in implementing of the scheme. He stressed upon the ASHA workers work with zeal and dedication for bringing the pregnant ladies to hospitals for vaccination and delivery. He also asked chief medical and block medical officer’s to conduct awareness camps in the far- flung areas. DDC asked ASHA workers to visit backward areas and interact with the womenfolk and educate them, so that the infant and maternal mortality rate can be brought down. With regard to vaccination of the Haji’s of the district DDC was told that 100% vaccination has been done performed in the district (DDC) also discussed of providing transport facilities to the Haji’s from Ramban to TRC Srinagar with the concerned officers.
