| KN Pangotra appointed Assistant Solicitor General | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 14- President of India Pratibha Devising Patil engaged has appointed Kuldeep Kumar Pangotra as Assistant Solicitor General of India for conducting central Government cases in the J&K High Court Jammu Bench for the period of three years or until further orders. According to the order issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice Department of Legal Affairs issued on October 6, 2009 which was received today in the High Court in which it has been clarified that the engagement of Advocate KK Pangotra will govern by the terms and conditions. KK Pangotra an Advocate of J&K High Court did his B. Sc LL.B from Jammu University, enrolled as an advocate by the Punjab & Haryana Bar Council in the year 1976 (April 23, 1976). Standing in Bar as Advocate 33 years, practicing in the J&K High Court and District and Sessions Courts. Advocate Pangotra has remained standing counsel for PWD, PDD, Counsel for Legal Aid to Poor J&K Government, Ravi Tawi Irrigation complex, Home Dept of J&K Government, in the panel of advocates for J&K Bank, counsel for Bata India Limited, Bharat Cooking Coal of India Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharti Vidya Peeth College Pune. China can make as much noise as it wants on Arunachal Pradesh: Farooq Abdullah Jammu, Oct. 14 : Reacting to China’s statement over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s tour of Arunachal Pardesh, Union Minister for New and Renewable resources, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, maintained that China is in the habit of making noises, but Arunchal Pradesh will remain N integral part of India.
Addressing a felicitation function organised for the Jammu and Kashmir under-16 cricket team at his Jammu residence, Abdullah said: “China may make as much noise as it wants to make, Arunchal is part of India, integral part of India. Therefore it does not cut any ice as far as I am concerned. It is a part of India and will remain part of India. China can speak as much as it wants to speak.”
Reacting to Home Minister P. Chidambaram’s statement that the Center is ready to talk with all political sections of Kashmir, he said: “I heard Mr. Chidambarm today when I was in the waiting lounge of Indian Airlines, Chidambaram said that I will talk to everybody and anybody, but it will be a very quiet thing. It will not be put before the press as earlier when we have talks with Ehsaan Dar and I know how the press was jumping at them. So that’s a very good thing. let him have a quiet talk and let him have and find way out of this tragedy we have.
