| Rajneesh’s widow lashes at media, alleges biased reporting, demands CBI probe | | CJM directs CB to lodge FIR against 10 accused in the case | | Early Times Report
Jammu, October-14: Condemning biased reporting by a section of media, widow of Rajneesh, Amina alias Anchal said that she along with her family members will not leave the struggle of getting justice of Rajneesh’s brutal killing by sending culprits behind the bars and threatened self immolation in case government fails to bring culprits to book. Lambasting against media reports for fabricated information in terms of age bar, she said that being a major and of her own free will she converted herself to Hinduism and changed her name from Amina Yousaf to Anchal Sharma and solemnized her marriage with Rajneesh Sharma on August 21, 2009 in Arya Samaj Mandir against the wishes of her family members.
Knowing fully that she is major and has married Rajneesh Sharma out of her free will, her parents in connivance with SSP Srinagar, SP Srinagar and other police officials of the P/S Munshi Bagh Srinagar lodged a false and frivolous FIR alleging that the complainant is a minor and has been abducted by Rajneesh Sharma and his family members with the sole object to eliminate Rajneesh Sharma.
Addressing a press conference Anchal expressed dissatisfaction with proceedings of police in the case she said that only CBI could bring the truth to light adding that she wanted to know how and by whom her husband was killed. She called for the intervention of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and demanded nothing less than inquiry by CBI. However, brother of the victim Pawan Kumar rejected the government offer of employment to one member of the family and compensation by saying that nothing on the earth could compensate the killing of his brother.
Anchal further said that Rajneesh was killed after tortured physically. She said that during the postmortem at Jammu it was found that degree of physical torture given to Rajneesh was unbearable as burn marks caused by cigarette and swallowing on knee indicated that under designed conspiracy of police in convenience with her father Mohd.Yousf Marazi, who is influential as well as rich. She reiterated till the accused are not sentenced her life and entire family will be under threat.
Taking strong exception of the complaint filed by the victim’s wife Amina, the CJM Jammu Y P Bourney today ordered Crime Branch to lodge a FIR against ten allegedly involved in the custodial killing of Rajneesh Sharma at P/S Munshi Bagh Srinagar.
After hearing Advocate LK Sharma assisted by Advocate Vishal Sharma, the CJM said that in the complaint, u/s 156 (3) CrPC filed by Anchal Sharma alias Amina Yousaf wife of late Rajneesh Sharma and Raj Kumar Sharma wife of Lt Nanak Chand in court, wherein serious allegations has been leveled against police officers who acted as hired goons of private respondents, so the matter needs investigation by the Crime Branch as a youth has lost life in police custody. The complaint is forwarded to Incharge Police Station Crime Branch u/s 156(3) CrPC for investigation and report at the earliest, the CJM ordered.
It was alleged in the complaint that the brothers of the complainant were openly saying that they had paid Rs 1.5 lacs to SHO P/S Munshi Bagh Srinagar and Rs 50,000 to SHO Bakshi Nagar Jammu and will not spare any body who comes in their way, the brothers of the complainant also declared in the presence of the police personnel including the accused persons. They kidnapped the husband of the complainant, Rajneesh Sharma falsely alleging him as Pawan Sharma and the officials of the police station Bakshi Nagar Jammu did not get Rajneesh Sharma neither identified from his relations nor made any ‘fard Jamatalshi’ before abducting him forcefully. On October 6, 2009 SDPO Chauhan came to the house of Raj Kumari Sharma and asked for the wife of Pawan Sharma and said that Pawan Sharma has died at Srinagar and she has to receive the dead body of Pawan Sharma. On October 10, when dead-body was received at air-port by Raj Kumari Sharma and the complainant was asked to identify the body, the complainant was terribly shocked to see the body of her son Rajneesh Sharma.
Complaint being of serious nature with the SHO Police Station Bakshi Nagar and SDPO West involved in the commission of offence till date they have not lodged any FIR and further the matter is required to be investigate within the jurisdiction of more than one police station, keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, register FIR against the alleged accused namely Javid Riaz Bedar SSP, SP, SDPO, SHO Mushtaq Ali, Abdul Qyoom SI from Srinagar and Mohd Yousaf Marazi, Tariq Ahmed Marazi, Javid Ahmed Marazi, besides SHO P/S Bakshi Nagar and SDPO West from Jammu.
