Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 15- Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER), Jammu is organizing a 2-day National Conference in collaboration with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on the theme ‘Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Issues, Practices and Assessment’ at its college premises on October 23-24. Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik will be inaugurating conference. The Conference will provide a platform for researchers, policy planners, academicians and stakeholders to critically and constructively deliberate on issues vital to the development of education and its quality. Dr. Shyamsundar, Deputy Advisor and Regional Coordinator, NAAC, Bangalore, Dr. Lokesh Koul, Prof. Emeritus & Former Dean, Faculty of Education, HP University, Dr. S.P. Malhotra, National Fellow NUEPA & President, AIAER, Dr. Lokesh Verma, Prof. & Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Jammu and Dr. Amit Kauts, Dean, Faculty of Education, GNDU, Amritsar would be the Key resource persons for the Conference. The important themes to be discussed in conference include “Best Practices with regard to the Improvement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Role of NAAC in Improving Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Suggestions/Strategies for Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”.
