| Ride-De-Himalaya car rally | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 15- The Ride De-Himalaya car rally organized by Himalayan Motor Sports Association arrived here last evening. Twenty two teams are participating in the rally of which three teams are from Air Force. There were total 15 Air warriors who participated in all the three teams. Wg Cdr M K Abrol, who hails from Jammu, led the AF Team under his able guidance and experience. The rally started on October 7 from Shimla and followed the route from Manali-Pashio – Randuon Tang-Kargil-Dras- Srinagar. Air Force achieved 7th position in the rally. On its return to Jammu Air Force Station Gp Capt Ghar Singh Station Commander Air Force Station Jammu congratulated all the participants. The team was later flagged off to New Delhi from here today. The rally was the second toughest car rally after Paris rally and in spite of the long journey through adverse weather and terrain the team reported no incident. The team was full of life, showing no impact of either the terrain or the weather.
