Jammu, Oct 15- An educational tour of thirty children accompanied by three teachers to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, organized by GARH RIF Battalion f RR, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO), was flagged off at Surankot today. Aptly named, ‘Paigam-E-Aman’, signifying the message of peace and brotherhood, the tour aims to establish a bond between the young children from the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of our country.
The tour will expose the young minds from Jammu and Kashmir to our rich heritage and culture as also provide them an opportunity to see the development work in various parts of our country. The children will be visiting places of historical, religious and industrial importance in the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. In Delhi, the children will get an opportunity of ‘Delhi Darshan’, where in, they would visit Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Sansad Bhawan and Rashtrapati Bhavan. At Agra, the visit is scheduled for Agra Fort, Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri. While at Jaipur, the children will get an opportunity to visit Hawa Mahal and Fun City in addition to the other places of tourist interest.
This tour will help groom the young generation in becoming responsible citizens and enhance their awareness about the country besides instilling a sense of belonging, brotherhood, national integration and patriotism in the young impressionable minds.
At the Flag off ceremony, the participating children, their parents and the teachers accompanying the children were very happy and enthusiastic. They appreciated the efforts put in by the Army in organizing tour which integrates the people and the nation. The tour will strengthen the bonds of friendship between the Army and the Awaam.
