| Gul visits JRC Handicapped Home | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, OCTOBER 16 - Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Mubarak Gul today visited JRC Home for Handicapped at Talab Tillo and distributed sweets, gifts to the inmates.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gul urged the people to share Diwali celebrations with the destitute and physically challenged persons and said that such festivals tell us the lessons of cooperation, communal harmony and universal brotherhood.
The Advisor interacted with the children and spent a lot of time with them and shared Diwali greetings. He hoped that this Diwali, the festival of lights shall bring new dawns in the development and prosperity of the state.
Earlier, scores of deputations from all walks of life called on Mr. Gul and apprised him of the problems being faced by them in their respective areas pertaining to regulation of traffic, power supply and inadequate staff in newly established Degree Colleges and other educational institutions. Mr. Gul after hearing the deputationists assured them that he will direct the concerned authorities for the mitigation of these problems at the earliest.
The Advisor also convened a meeting of prominent citizens and invited their suggestions for making Diwali celebrations a success. He also appealed the people to celebrate pollution free Diwali and adopt safety measures to avoid any untoward incident.
