| HC stays transfer order of Forester | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18-In a petition filed by Raj Singh Forester challenging his transfer from Lakhanpur check post to Jasrota Range, Justice Virender Singh of J&K High court Jammu Wing has ordered that, till further orders, the impugned order passed on September 25, 2009 whereby the petitioner was transferred shall remain in abeyance.
After hearing Advocate DS Chouhan appearing for the petitioner, Justice Singh issued notice to State of J&K through Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Forest, Conservator of Forest, East Circle Jammu , DFO Kathua and Range Officer Lakhanpur returnable within three weeks and directed to list the immediately after the service is complete. In the meanwhile till further order the impugned order 59 of 2009 dated September 25, 2009 shall remain in abeyance, the Court ordered.
The petitioner submitted that the he was transferred thrice with in a span of two years and for certain ulterior motives a fresh order was passed on September 25, 2009, transferring the petitioner from Lakhanpur check-post to Jasrota Range and sought Court direction to the respondents for cancelling his malifide transfer order JNF
