Chidambaram that Jammu and Kashmir is a political problem and described the recent remarks over Kashmir Issue as ‘virtual endorsement of the separatist line.’ This was stated here today by BJP State President Ashok Khajuria while addressing media persons. The BJP chief warned the Government of India about any compromise with the separatists and Pakistan. Re-affirming his party’s stand that the special status accorded to the state is the root cause of problems in the state and sooner it is withdrawn the better it would be for the nation, Khajuria said that any failure on the part of the Government of India to take cognizance of the BJP’s well-considered views or to continue to support the separatist line would only compel the nationalist forces in the state to create a 2008-like situation. BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) and party MLA Ch. Sukhnandan were also present in the press conference.
