| Shastri appeals CM to release July DA of employees, pensioners | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 19: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri, has appealed the chief minister, Omar Abdullah to release the pending installment of 5% DA due from July this year in favour of the state government employees and pensioners well before Darbar Move as this installment have already been released by the central as well as general state governments in favour of their employees and pensioners. Addressing a rally of NMC workers at Slama Chak in RS Pura last evening Shastri that the state government has already provided funds for this purpose in the current financial year state budget and said that by releasing this installment, the salaried class will have a sign of relief as the rising prices of essential commodities have already crossed the price index, which has created number of hardships to them. Shastri appreciated the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues for timely implementation of the 6th pay commission, release of 6% pending DA installment due from January this year enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs. 70 to Rs. 110 per day. He said release of wages of motivators working in IWDP besides their regularization, conversion of COLA into DA of PSU’s employees, issuance of Orders of 180 daily wagers working in rural development department, regularization of services of the employees working in sericulture and other departments, casual labourers working in PWD department be continues and considered for regularization. Among those who also addressed the rally included Darshan Lal, Vijay Bhagat, Dilip Bhagat, Girdhari Bhagat, Swarn Bhagat, Bodh Raj Bhagat and Comrade Barkat Ram and others.
