| VAP pay’s tributes to Bhagwan Dhanwantri | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 20: The Vishav Ayurved Parishad (VAP) and Arogya Bharati (AB) jointly organized a function at Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir, Ambphalla to pay tributes to Bhagwan Dhanwantri, the God of Health and Longevity. The function was presided over by RC Gupta president of Ved Mandir, alongwith and Dr. SS Soodan, of Batra hospital. On the occasion Dr. KD Gupta secretary Arogya Bharati gave brief resume of the activities of the organization which aims at creating healthy individuals, family, society and the nation at large by bringing professionals of all the existing systems of medicines under the banner to interact and find ways and means to benefit the deprived sections of the society through their experience. Dr. Govind Ram Gupta president VAP gave a detail account of the Vishav Ayurved Parishad which is dedicated to the revival of Ayurved to its past glory. Wherein resolution regarding opening of government Ayurved College Jammu and setting up of separate directorate of ISM on the pattern of allopathic wing were unanimously adopted. Dr. Subash Gupta president Arogya Bharati former principal GMC, Jammu stressed the importance of Yoga and Pranayam for healthy living and check life style diseases like diabetes, hypertension, stress, heart ailments, obesity etc. Dr. Soodan gave details of the health scenario wherein 20 percent well of persons avail 60 percent of the health services in private sector which are run commercially with profit motives. Dr. Arun Jandial spoke on the origin of Ayurveda and mythological churning of ocean which resulted into the birth of Bhagwan Dhanwantri. Retd. engineer RC Sharma asked the professionals to think of deprived section of the society and for their families and also serve the needy. KK Sharma, deputy director agriculture spoke on the importance of herbs whereas Dr. Karan appreciated professionals. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Jatinder Gupta and proceeding of the function was conducted by Dr. Sujata Sathu.
