| BJP threatens countywide agitation for weakening ties between J&K to India | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 20- The BJP has warned to launch a countrywide campaign if any attempt was made to further weaken the ties between this State and rest of India.
Accusing the Congress led UPA at the Centre of being devoid of the national out look, the leader of the BJP Legislators Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta feared more problems in this troubled State because of the reports that in the name of implementing recommendations of the so-called Working Groups created by the Prime Minister over three years ago to look into various problems and generate confidence amongst the people within the State as also to address the external dimensions.
Addressing meetings of the activists at Old Rehari and other places in his Jammu City West Constituency, Prof. Gupta observed that basic problem has been that Congress was never having a Kashmir policy and the entire mess was created by the late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and others of the dynastic party. They were always guided by communal considerations and had been buckling under foreign pressures coupled with greed for power, he added.
Referring to the reports about having dialogue with the separatists and votaries of limited relations with India, Prof. Gupta said that what are the recommendations of the much talked Working Groups and the basis of dialogue should be made clear and the people should be taken into confidence that what are the Government plans.
Already the country, more so, the unfortunate people of this part of India has suffered a lot but for follies of the dynastic leaders of the Congress, he added and alleged that Jammu is being treated as subjugated part of the State by the National Conference, Congress leaders of Kashmir despite slogans of equal treatment to all regions.
Prof. Gupta assured the people to take up all their problems with the respective departments and see that authorities get responsive to the difficulties facing the masses of this city. He impressed upon the activists to strengthen their ranks and generate awareness about the steps being contemplated by the leadership of the Congress and its fellow travelers who intend to weaken the ties between this State and rest of the country. Prof. Gupta warned that anymore weakening of the relations would have serious repercussions and the BJP would have to take up the issue of obnoxious moves on part of New Delhi ruling leadership to appease the anti-national sentiments under various their own created urgencies, and launched a movement at the national level.
