| Talk to protesting medicos to end stalemate: Tarigami | | | Early Times Report Srinagar Oct.20 CPI(M) State Secretary and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami once again has urged the government to initiate negotiations with the representatives of the protesting doctors. He said that prolonged doctors strike has stalled the health services in the entire State making the patients to suffer adversely. In a statement issued here today the CPI(M) State Secretary said that removing the pay disparity in various cadres of Doctors, provision of two and a half day salary to them and uniform honorarium during their Post Graduation were the most genuine demands to be addressed and fulfilled without any further delay. He said that hard stand by the government in this regard could further aggravate the already worsened situation in the health institutions as a result of the ongoing strike by the doctors. He appealed the Chief Minster to intervene for resolving the grievances of the doctors and suggested for framing a high power committee to look into the demands of the Doctors in time frame. Tarigami urged the representatives of the Doctors to come forward for talks with the government to end the stalemate and ensure that poor patients do not suffer due to wrong done by the administration. CPI(M) leader also urged the government to initiate dialogue with the representatives of State Road Transport Corporation employees for exploring a way out to bring the Corporation out of sickness and safeguarding the interests of its employees. He reiterated his demand for Constitution of a Cabinet Sub Committee to address the grievances of the SRTC employees who are on strike for a quite long time. He said that similar methodology was needed for revival of all those PSUs which are in imminent threat of collapse.
