Coalition has multiplied miseries: Balbir

Targeting the state government for its failure to resolve day today problems of the common masses, general secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thakur Balbir Singh today said that miseries of the people have been increased manifold after formation of Congress-National Conference regime in the State.
Addressing a function after launching membership drive in Thathri area, PDP leader pointed that this regime was formed with out any programme and policy and instead of solving basic problems of the common masses both leaders of Congress and National Conference have been befooling the people by making false promises.
Pointing towards issued raised by the residents of Thathri and adjoining localities in the meeting, he said that whole erstwhile Doda district is badly affected by the draught but authorities failed to provide relief to the people. He regretted that entire area has been facing scarcity of ration but authorities were not concerned about solving this problem. He supported demand of the people that fresh survey should be conducted to incorporate genuine and deserving people in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list.
He exhorted the party workers to expose anti-people policies of the coalition and spread message of the party in very regions and sub-regions.
Throwing light on the Self-Rule proposal of the party, PDP general secretary said that party was committed for the development and betterment of all regions and sub-regions of the State. Party secretary Sayed Asgar Ali, MLC, Riyaz Zarger, Talib Hussain, Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed and others also addressed the meeting which marked beginning of membership drive in this belt.
