Udhampur Oct 21: Police commemoration day was observed at Udhampur today, like every year, families of martyrs, other police officers, both serving and retired and prominent citizens were present in the function. .
Addressing the gathering, DIG Gulzar Singh Slathia lauded the role of martyrs and said that police martyrs set the highest standard of dedication to duty and patriotism while laying down their lives for integrity of the nation. He also assured the families of police martyrs that each and every police personnel were with them and they need not to feel alone. Slathia read out the names of police martyrs and paid them rich tributes. Later, police officers including retired police personnel and family members of police martyrs laid the wreaths on the memorial of martyrs. SSP Suriender Gupta, SP city, DYSP HQ also were present on the occasion.
