UDHAMPUR, Oct 21: Vaiso Devi of Majalta zone and Priynaka Bindryal of Ramnagar zone bagged 100 meters gold in girls under-14 and under-17 year categories respectively in the two-day inter-zonal athletics meet of district Udhampur held at Sports Stadium, here today.
The two-day annual athletic meet in both boys and girls section was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS). In all, 224 male and female athletes drawn from 11 different zones of the district took part in the competitions.
On the concluding day today, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Iqbal Pare was chief guest who gave away medals to the winning athletes. Assistant Director DYSS, Ashok Kumar presided.
Prominent among others present in the medal ceremony were Raj Guru, Bharat Bushan Principal HSS and Zonal Physical Education Officers of the district.
