| Book on "Towards Managing Diversity' released | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 21: Nami Dogri Sanstha - The Art Foundation organized a 'function to release Dr. Deepak Dogra's latest book entitled "Towards Managing Diversity': Cultural Aspects of Business Environment" The Book was released by Sohail Kazmi Sr. Journalist, Savita Bakshi, Addl. Secretary Cultural Academy and SS Anand Lehar senior advocate. Dogra Harish Kaila president, Nami Dogri Sanstha - The Art Foundation also shared the dais. Arjun Mohan, read the abstract of the released book and Yash Paul Yash general secretary Nami Dogri Sanstha - The Art Foundation, compared the programme in a very befitting manner. While speaking on the occasion Dr. Deepak Dogra thanked all dignitaries present on the dais and media as well as audience present on the occasion. Dr. Dogra emphasized that it is only through understanding diversity that a business can achieve cohesion in the workplace. About his book Towards Managing Diversity, Dr. Dogra said that it provides a perspective of diversity in competing organization. Moot issue is not that of Indian Private Sector refraining so far from implementing any diversity management related initiatives but need for the management of Indian private sector organizations to understand diversity related cultural imperatives in the right perspective. The Chief Guest, Sohail Kazmi Sr. Journalist, while speaking on the occasion congratulated the author of the book Dr. Deepak Dogra for such an apt topic particularly when the need of today is initiate diversity management related business practices by the organization. Savita Bakshi, Addl. Secretary Cultural Academy who was the special invitee said that managing diversity not only involves-leveraging and using the cultural differences in people's skills, ideas and creativity to contribute towards a common goal but doing it in a way that gives organization a competitive edge. SS Anand Lehar the guest of honour appreciated Dr. Dogra's effort for writing his 12th book in a short span of four years after his successful corporate carrier in 'multinational companies. Harish Kaila also appreciated the latest work work of Dr. Dogra and said that the book draws inferences of practical research in managing diversity and also stressed on the increasingly importance of this subject at a global level.
