Srinagar, Oct 21: Srinagar-Ladakh National Highway which was scheduled to close on October 31, 2009, shall now re-open till weather permits.
This decision was taken today at a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for CA&PD, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon.
Among others, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Davinder Singh Rana, Chief Executive Councillor, Kargil, Mr. Kachoo Ahmad Khan, MLC, Aga Syed Ahmed Rizvi, Executive Councillor, Aga Syed Kazim, Secretary, CA&PD and Transport Commissioner and Chief Engineer, Beacon attended the meeting.
The Beacon authorities have agreed to the decision. This decision was taken to facilitate movement of supplies and stocks and general interest of public.
