| Labourers allege illegal confinement of Brick-kiln owner | | HC dismisses petition after SSP report | | Jammu, October, 02- In a writ petition filed by Thoru Ram claims to be President of Mazdoor Dastkar Union Jammu alleging that Brick-Kiln owner illegally confined the labourers Justice YP Nargotra of J&K High Court Jammu Wing on the allegations directed SSP Kathua for verifying the facts stated in the petition on spot and to submit its report. Status report of the SSP Kathua has been filed through Additional Advocate General BS Salathia. In the report SSP Kathua has stated that he has conducted an enquiry into the allegations made in the petition and found that the claim put-forth by the petitioner that the labourers have been kept in illegal confinement was not factually correct. He has recorded the statements of the labourers, who were available on spot, on the basis of which he has returned the finding, that none of them was in illegal confinement of brick-kiln owner of Chhan Jullian Di, Tehsil Hira-Nagar District Kathu Justice YP Nargotra, in view of the status report submitted by the SSP Kathua, ordered that this petition does not survive as such petition is dismissed along with connected CMPs.
