Dharmarth Trust goes online

Jammu, Oct 22:Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, Maharaja Dr Karan Singh today formally launched the website for the Dharmarth Trust www.jkdharmarthtrust.org.
Earlier, Maharaja Dr Karan Singh along with President of the Trust Th Divakar Singh paid obeisance at Shri Raghunath Temple and at the memorials of the Maharajas namely Gulab Singh Ji and Ranbir Singh Ji.
During his visit Dr Singh also performed special Puja in the temple complex of Natraj Ji and other deities housed in the Raghunathji Temple Complex. He also took stock of the sale centre set up in the complex for making available religious books and handicraft items to various devotees visiting this historical temple in Jammu. He passed several instructions to managerial staff to keep the temple environment pollution-free.
To mark the birth day celebration of founder Maharaja of State Jammu and Kashmir Gulab Singh Ji, Dr Singh distributed about Rs1.85 lakh to various social and religious organizations engaged in the work of helping the poor and needy persons of the society. Of this, he distributed Rs. 1.02 lakh as scholarships to meritorious students of Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Birpur while giving away Rs. 4000 to Home for Aged an Infirm, Jammu, Rs 3000 to SOS Children Chani Rama, Jammu, Rs 4000 to Samaj Kalyan Kendra, Shahidi Chowk, Jammu, Rs 6000 to Ved Mandir Bal-Niketan, Ambphalla, Jammu and Rs. 66,000 to Jammu Yatri Bhawan Haridwar. He also distributed sewing machines and blankets to widows and destitute ladies.
Giving details Th Divakar Singh told that the website contains all vital information about the functioning of the Dharmarth Trust and will cater to the information needs of the writers, intellectuals and pilgrims tourists who intended to know about the history of the Maharaja and Rajas of the Jammu and Kashmir State and the Dharmarth Trust.
He said the website has been designed by a reputed Soft Ware and Internet Solutions Company ‘Proxima Systems’.
