Ramban, Oct 22: The Deputy Commissioner, Ramban who is also the Chairman of District Disaster Management Committee,(DDMC), to chaired a high level meeting of administrative officers to discuss the disaster management prior to the winter sets in.
The Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, K B Magotra directed all the concerned officers to take stock of the position of the availability of the arrangements made to meet any eventuality in the form any natural calamity and furnish the report within a week positively. He also asked them to identify the loopholes remained in the arrangements and plug them at earliest. He also directed the concerned Disaster Management Officer to ensure his supplies are in ample stock to meet any eventuality. The Deputy Commissioner also enquired about the snow clearance machines and asked the concerned departments including GREF and IRCON to provide these machines on need basis so that road from Tunnel to Banihal town may be cleaned at war footing basis.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, DDMC, ACR, Javaid Nseem Chowdhary, AQ Sect-11,RR,CMO, CEO,ADC, ARTo, AEE’s PFE,R&B, DSP, Police, Traffic Police, Tehsildars (T&S) Naib Tehsildars and BDOs ,Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, I/C Fire and Emergency Services, TSO, Ramban etc.
