| Protest against PSC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 22 : Today Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) held a protest demonstration at MAM College under the leadership of Thakur Varinder Singh alleging Public Service Commission (PSC) discriminating the people of Jammu.
Raising slogans against the PSC the nodal authority of selecting the lecturers the protestors alleged that majority of the selected candidates have been shortlisted from valley. ‘And even the recently published a list of Chemistry and Botany subjects and in chemistry subject a total of 23 candidates are selected and 16 are from valley and 7 are from Jammu, they said adding that in case of Botany subject a total of 19 candidates are selected and 16 are again from Kashmir valley and only 3 from Jammu indicating hight of discrimination with Jammu.
Thakur Varinder Singh boycotted all the classes of colleges and all the gathered at main gate and raised slogans against PSC. Th. Varinder Singh addressed the gathered students he said that Govt. should show transparency in the selection procedure unless JJSF will launch against this.
Other JJSF leaders were present Davinder Singh, Simran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Lucky, Monty, Abhay Singh, Sanjay, Pranav Singh etc.
