| Jammu can’t be held hostage by `Ribbon cutting politicians’: Randhawa | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 23: Coming down heavily upon the failure of the coalition government to address the basic issues confronting the general masses, Bhatiya Janta Party (BJP) Mandal President Gandhi Nagar Choudhary Vikram Randhawa today said that Jammu can not be held hostage by the `Ribbon Cutting Politicians’. In a statement issued here today, Randhawa criticized the tactics of the ruling politicians who were trying to befool the people by resorting to inauguration and ribbon cutting spree. “Revenue minister Raman Bhalla has issued clear instructions to all the departments in the constituency not to undertake any work in the area without inviting him for the inauguration”, he said adding, “by resorting to such modes the minister want to present himself as a peoples’ leader and sole distributor of development in Gandhi Nagar but the record and ground realities speak otherwise”. He said that the government departments were under obligation to start various developmental works in time bound manner and same can not be delayed only due to the reason that the minister was not available for cutting the ribbon
