| In seasons of strikes , Estate employees new entrants | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Oct 23 As State Government is struggling to end up ongoing indefinite strike of Junior Doctors and SRTC employees’ strikes in J&K, now the Estate Employees talks tough by serving 15 days ultimatum to Govt to concede their demands otherwise they would launch indefinite pen down strike. Announcing this in a press conference today, Prem Kumar Baba, president All J&K Estates Employees Association said that they had promised by the Director Estate Department that their demands shall be fulfill within three months before Darbar Move but it unfortunate that the concerning department instead to concede demands not even given serious look to the demands forced the employees to go on path of agitation.Baba said that since the Estate department is with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah we appealed him to look into the matter and concede the demands within 15 days otherwise the Estate employees forced to go on for pen down and tool down strike till the demands are not mitigated. He added that association has been fighting since long and submitted chain of memoranda to the government but unfortunately none in the administration cared about their demands. Estate Employees demanded re-organization of the department, providing benefit of 2 1.2 day salary, change of designation as per the trade of helper, regular conducting of DPC, construction of accommodation of staff, regularization of daily wagers and enhancement of daily rate, risk allowance to the employees and release of wages, tools kits and uniforms, clearance of pending cases, provision of functional promotions, clearance of pending cases under SRO43, removal of pay anomalies etc.
