All J&K ST/SC Students Federation accused Tribal Affairs Department for misuse of scholarship and non issuance of scholarship among the ST/SC students.
Addressing media persons here today, Haq Nawaz Choudhary, state president of the federation alleged that for the last 10 months there is hue and cry among ST students for non issuance of scholarship among deserving student of SC/ST community. He stated that many students left the university because of lack of money and moreover the non-issuance scholarship by the Tribal Department. He alleged conspiracy to demoralize ST student for getting higher education.
Choudhary said that many times we approached Tribal Affair authority but the concerning authority did nothing in this connection. He accused Tribal department for misuse the scholarship money and said APTECH and STG Centres are there in Srinagar where crores of rupees is misused by concerning authority and has given scholarship irregularly to these institutions. The federation appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to personality intervene into the matter and sort out a solution and direct the Tribal Affairs department to disperse the scholarship immediately among the SC/ST students.
