Jammu, Oct 23: Jailed cop Manohar Singh, suspended and arrested in Amandeep Murder evidence destruction case, is reported to have made an unsuccessful bid on his life in central jail last night.
Sources said a jail guard spotted Manohar Singh making an attempt to strangulate himself with a loose sheet. The guard, sources said, raised alarm altering jail authorities. Sources also suggested that Manohar Singh has been showing unique behaviour in jail cell. Though there was indication of depression but sources arrested that doctors have decided him medically completely fit. Despite repeated attempts jail authorities refused to confirm this development while SIT official could not be reached for their comments.
