Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 24: Terming decision of the State Government to suspend agitating doctor as authoritarian, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today asked the coalition regime to solve the issue amicably.
In a statement issued here today, spokesman of PDP flayed the State Government for its failure to solve problems emerged due to indefinite strike by the doctors. Party further regretted that instead of taking some effective steps to solve the crises, Government has further deteriorating the situation through its action. He demanded that suspension order of agitating doctors should be revoked immediately and dialogue should be started with the striking medicos.
PDP spokesman termed demands of agitating doctors as genuine and reasonable and asked the government to solve this issue amicably rather than adopting dictatorial attitude. The spokesman demanded that unemployed doctors should be given employment but not at the cost of those who have been already in the job. He warned the government against creating another class of unemployed doctors by taking authoritarian steps.
While pointing towards strike of SRTC employees, PDP spokesman said that government has failed to perform its duty. He said that majority of the employees were on war-path due to wrong policies being adopted by the coalition regime. He reminded that during the last assembly election ruling National Conference had promised to solve problems of the employees but after attaining power party has ignored reasonable and just demands of employees.
