Srinagar, October 25: The Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M. Saroori had a meeting with the Director General Border Roads Organization, Lt Gen. M.C Bdani last evening and discussed the progress on various roads undertaken by Border Roads organization in the State.
The D. G. agreed to change the alignment of the Vailoo- Singhpour tunnel, which will connect Kishtwar with the Valley through Simthan Kokernag road, and assured the minister that a revised DPR would be submitted to the concerned ministry for approval and allotment of funds. The work on Assar-Pul-Doda road, construction of Bani-Chatturgul tunnel, Sudmahadev tunnel, Sumbal-Bandipora road, Batate-Simthan road also came up for discussion in the meeting. The minister asked the DG to speed up the pace on all the roads being executed by the BRO in the State.
Commissioner Secretary, R&B, Mr. Mehboob Iqbal, Chief Engineer, BEACON, Mr. Asok Bhutani, Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir Mr. Nazir Ahmad and MD, JKPCC, Mr. Taseen Mustafa were also present in the meeting
