Saroori says congress believe in talks to resolve every issue peacefully

Srinagar October 25: Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M. Saroori today said that Government is seized of the problems of the people living in border districts of the State and would be mitigated in a phased manner.
The Minister was speaking at a public gathering at Lalpour Lolab in Kupwara district.
MLC, Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil, Mr. Naresh Kumar Gupta, Mr. Ali Mohammad and senior leaders of the congress party were present on the occasion.
Mr. Saroori said people have rejected the communal forces and accepted the policy and programmes of the congress. He said the recent triumph of the congress in Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana is the example of the public support the congress is gaining all over the country.
The Minister said that a massive development plan is under execution in the Kupwara district, adding that more funds would be provided for the development of the district. He announced construction of new Kupwara- Zangli bye-pass road.
Mr. Saroori said that it is the responsibility of the coalition government to take forward the development mission started by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. “It is our duty to strengthen the hands of our young and dynamic Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah for the overall development of the State” Mr. Saroori added.
The Minister said that Lolab has its own history and has created great religious people like Moulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri, Moulana Anwar Shah Kashmiri whose contribution in the religious field would be remembered for long time to come.
Responding to the public demands, Mr. Saroori said that all the genuine demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner. He said the most of the roads in Kupwara district have been macadamized and assured people that next year from May all the remaining roads would be macadamized. He said 250 Ton tar has been kept reserved for the next year out of allocation of current fiscal.
