| Safai Karamcharis on indefinite strike, people facing sanitation problems | | |

Udhampur Oct 25: The local public is facing insanitation problems in the city as Safai Karmcharis working with Udhampur Municipality are on strike from Saturday and has threatened to go on indefinite strike from Monday if there demands were not met. Majority of Safai Karamcharis has demanded regularization of casual and daily wagers working from last several years and alleged government for not conceding there other genuine demands pending for the couple of years.
Raising slogans against Director Local Bodies and state government they sit on dharna in front of town hall and were demanding fulfillment of there demands. Speaking on the occasion Safai Karamcharis President Inder Teji alleged that despite low in numbers they are serving for making easy survival of local populace but government has turned deaf ears towards their issues.
