| VP contestant seeks support to serve JCCI | | | Early Times Report Jammu: Inderjeet Khajuria, candidate for the post of senior vice president Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu today sought vote and support in CCI election scheduled to be held on October 28.Addressing media person Inderjeet Khajuira who is also the President All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association and General Secretary Jammu Paryatan Vikas Mandal ventured upon to serve the trading community and the industrialists in Jammu by joining a broader field of service, by contesting election to the post of Senior Vice President CCI Jammu.He assured to generate a good tie between trade and industries of all the three regions and made all efforts to promote the interests of the business and industrial community in this region.He Highlighted problems being faced by the trade in the region included want of rational and imaginative approach on the part of concerned authorities in raising commercial taxes, their assessment evaluation and implementation, in this regard maintenance of dignity and respect of the trading community and the industrialists among the tax collecting authorities is of vital importance, healthy and cordial relation between the authorities in the commercial taxes and income tax departments on the one hand and the traders and industrialists on the other hand is a must He assured that his endeavor will be to work in this direction and see that the business community is held in high esteem by the administration and the society as a whole and shall forcefully take up with the government to simplify the procedure and formalities in respect of filling of returns by the traders for commercial taxes. He assured to promote tourism pilgrimage, basic amenities to trade and industrial sectors and others On Cross LoC trade, Khajuira said that he shall work for getting removal of all the impediments in the way of cross LoC trade, particularly via Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch and said that the cross LoC trade must benefit the local traders and Jammu based industrial products, manufactured and produced items locally must be brought in the list of items to be exported to PoK. He appealed the members of CCI to vote and support in his favour and give him opportunity to represent him as true representative of traders and industrialists. |
