| Haji Nissar stress on incorporating maximum for SW in 45 years plan | | | Srinagar, October 03 (INFO)- In order to chalk out strategy, policy and future goals to be adopted for formulation of 11th five year plan (2007-12), a meeting of officers of Social Welfare Department with Minister for Social Welfare Haji Nissar Ali in chair was held here today. The meeting made recommendations for establishment of working women centres and Bal Ashrams at various district headquarters. It also recommended installing infrastructural facilities for Social Welfare department in the newly created district and Tehsil headquarters besides providing accommodation to Social Welfare Offices in each district secretariat proposed for housing subordinate offices. It was also decided that a demand for setting up additional 10,000 Anganwari centres across the state apart from enhancing scholarship slabs to students of various classes from Ist –10th, would be put up. Stress was also laid up on increasing the mobility of district and tehsil Social Welfare Officers to meet various service requirements. This would help accelerate providing of benefits of various schemes of the department to the beneficiaries. The meeting also laid thrust on provision of budgetary support to non-income generating projects. Among others who attended the meeting were Secretary SW department Dr. Asgar Samoon, Special Secretary P&D department Mrs. Roma Wani, Special Secretary Social Welfare, Muzafar Ahmad, Director Social Welfare, Mrs. Dilshada, MD J&K Women Development Corporation, Srinagar, Mrs. Nahida Soz, Executive Director Rehabilitation Council Mrs. Suraiya, State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjar and Bakerwals, Secretary, Mr. Mahinder Singh besides other officers of Social Welfare department. |
