Early Times Report Jammu: Other Backward Classes (OBC) Jammu and Kashmir held under the chairmanship of Abdul Qadir, a senior member. He said that over 63 years of independence, OBC’s are still deprived for implementation of Mandal Commission report for 27% OBC quota. They alleged that false promises were made to them on 16th November, 2007 as state cabinet decided that 10% to OBC’s would be given and there would be only one certificate of Other Backward Classes (OBC) both for centre as well as State, (Other Social Caste) certificate would not be given. Instead of OSC there would be certificate of OBC. Almost two years have been passed but no action by the Jammu and Kashmir Government; General Administration Department Civil Secretariat has been taken. This is a trick played for community, he said and added that on 28th October, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh are arriving to Anantnaag, Srinagar Kashmir, and community urges upon the leaders to ask the state Government to implement the Mandal Commission Report for 27% reservation in the state. Satish Kumar, Mohammad Younus, Talib Hussain, Bansi Lal, Liaquat Ali, Daya Ram, Mohammad Shafi, Soba Ram, Manzoor Hussain, Parma Nand Lohar, Mohammad Iqbal, Mohammad Hussain, Mohammad Youqoob, Mohan Lal, Rakesh Kumar, Abdul Latif, Abdul Hameed and others were also present on the occasion.
