| Fortnightly ayurvedic health awareness camp conclude | | |

Jammu, Oct 25: The fortnightly function of health awareness camp which started on October 11 at district Kathua concluded here today. The function was organized in connection with the celebrations of Jayanti of Bhagwan Dhanwantri, the god ayurved medicine. The function was attended by MLC, Subash Gupta, prof. Vishav Murti Shastri, Dr. Jagdish Lal and others.
Dr. Lal in his presidential address briefed the members about the programmes undertaken by ISM doctors for creating health awareness in their respective areas during the fortnight long celebrations. He emphasized the objective of the forum of updating the knowledge and expertise of medical officers and improving their working conditions in respect of building, staff and supplies. He also demanded setting up of separate directorates for both the provinces of Jammu and Kashmir, sanctioning of third time bound promotion in favour of all eligible doctors, reorganization of the ISM department, filling up of vacant posts, amendment of ISM gazetted service recruitment rules, reopening of Ayurvedic college Jammu, making the pharmacy and drug testing laboratory functional.
The chief guest Subash Gupta and prof. Vishav Murthi in their address called upon the participants to practice the principles of Ayurved and serve the ailing humanity selflessly. The chief guest assured the members to take up their demands at the appropriate level so that they don’t feel demoralized due to neglect and apathy of the authorities.
