Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26: The Jammu Muslim Coordination Committee observes that the developments taking place with regard to the Kashmir issue which has been source of conflict and considerable suffering for the people of the sub continent, particularly for the people of Jammu and Kashmir state. Keeping in view the existing scenario the Jammu Muslim coordination committee welcomes the statement made by the two prime minister of India and Pakistan at Sharmulsheikh with regard to the solution for the Kashmir issue and also the statement made by the home minister government of India P. Chadambram regarding initiation of dialogue with all the parties concerned.
“The people of Jammu province particularly the Muslims of the region have always suffered during the last 62 years and made innumerable sacrifices. They have been target of miseries and troubles owing to the decisions taken at the national and state levels. Still they have never been consulted while making decisions,” said members of JMCC.
While welcoming the dialogue process intends to impress upon the two governments particularly the government of India that the Muslims of Jammu should also be consulted before any resolution of the J&K issue is arrived at, JMCC opinioned that the integrity of the Jammu and Kashmir state as it stood on 15th august 1947 should be maintained at all costs because any further division of the state is bound to conflagrate the issue and cause innumerable miseries again to the people of Jammu region particularly the Jammu Muslims who have always been at the receiving end.
