Srinagar, October 03
A meeting of Governing Body of Zila Saksharata Samiti, (ZSS) Srinagar was conducted under the chairmanship of Chairman, Zila Saksharata Samiti (District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Mr Ejaz Aqbal here today. The representatives of State Resource Centre, University of Kashmir, Education, Social Welfare and Information Departments also participated in the meeting.
The Secretary Zila Saksharata Samiti, Srinagar Mr Abdul Jabbar Chaket, informed the meeting regarding progress and achievements of Zila Saksharata Samiti, Srinagar. He said that the survey of Kangan, Lar and Ganderbal has been completed and 1400 centres opened for 35314 learners and 1400 volunteers have been engaged for teaching process for Srinagar block.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman stressed to accelerate the process in Srinagar Block to achieve 100 per cent literacy in near future. |
