| JK Bank rewards Kishtwar police, chairman appreciates role played | | | ETR Srinagar, Oct.26: J&K Bank has rewarded the JK Police team of Kishtwar in recognition of the commendable job done by them in unearthing the burglary case that had taken place at the J&K Bank’s Kishtwar branch three months ago. A cash award of Rs 1 lakh in the shape of demand draft was handed over to the Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda for passing on the reward money to the concerned police team. Besides, letter of appreciations were also given to Deepak Kumar, IPS, DIG, Doda and Ramban, Dr. Haseeb Moghal, SSP Kishtwar and Mohan Lal Thakur, DSP (Investigating Officer), Kishtwar. Pertinently, the case was one of the biggest and high-tech burglaries where unidentified persons broke into Kishtwar branch of the Bank and decamped with Rs 1.06 Crores during the intervening night of 7th and 8th July, 2009. Dr. Haseeb Drabu, Chairman and Chief Executive of the bank, while issuing the letter of appreciation to the police officers and a cash reward of Rs. 1 lakh lauded the commendable job done by the Kishtwar police in recovering about Rs.52 lakhs as on date from the burglars. While expressing full confidence in the ability of the J&K Police, Dr. Drabu further hoped that other such cases will also be solved with the same zeal and dedication by the concerned police officers.
