405 cases settled in Jammu District Mega Lok-Adalat

Jammu, Oct, 26: Today in the first day of the Mega Lok-Adalat held at District Court Complex Janipur Jammu in which five benches were constituted in which 657 cases were taken-up and 405 cases were settled. Principal District & Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat who is also Chairman District legal Service Authority Jammu District, informed.
At this occasion Justice Nissar Ahmed Kakru Executive Chairman of State Legal Service Authority in his inaugural address informed that during the Mega Lok-Adalat week, Lok Adalats shall held in each districts of State. Justice Kakru impressed upon the need to hold such Lok-Adalats in order to encourage negotiated settlement of dispute between the parties. The function was attended by Justice Virender Singh, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir, and Justice Sunil Hali, Officers of Registry, Presiding of Officers of District Judiciary, President BAJ Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi, Members of the BAJ and representative of Insurance and Financial Institutions.
