| Full Court reference to mourn the sad demise of Adv Chadha | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct, 26: A Full Court reference to mourn the sad and untimely demise member of Bar Adv Sham Sunder Chadha who was born on March 16, 1948. He did his LL.B from Jammu University in 1974 and started practicing at the Bar at Jammu. Adv Chadha was enrolled as pleader in July 1975, Vakil in 1979 and as an Advocate in 1981. He died on October 24, 2009 in a hospital at New-Delhi.
Full Court reference was chaired by Justice Virender Singh who paid a rich tribute to the departed soul and said that Advocate Chadha had argued before him in 2/3 cases related NDPS Act. He was having good command over the facts and law. Justice Virender Singh on his own behalf and on behalf of brother judges convey a deep sense of sympathy to the members of Bar and console the demise of Adv Chadha. A condolence message shall also be conveyed to the bereaved family. The other Judges of High Court who was present in the full court reference are Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir, and Justice Sunil Hali. The Bar was presented by its President Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi and State was represented Sr. Additional Advocate General by SC Gupta. In the condolence meeting the Presiding Officers of Subordinate Court and members of the BAJ were present, a two minutes silence was observed and after the reference the Court shall remain suspended for the rest of the day, today.
