Jammu, Oct 27: Welcoming the proposed visit of Prime Minister to Kashmir Valley beginning tomorrow, President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has expressed the hope that Dr. Manmohan Singh would announce a special financial package of Rs,8000 crore to Jammu and Kashmir for fully meeting the expenditure for implementation of 6th pay commission recommendations for the state government employees.
Shastri has urged the centre for liberal funding to the state for meeting the expenditure required to be incurred for paying arrears of the 6th pay commission to serving and retired employees.
The NMC leader also demanded special grants for meeting the expenditure on account of regularization of services of all the daily wagers and casual labourers.
