Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27: A number of cases were disposed off during the Lok Adalat Week. For this purpose five benches were constituted. Bench No 1 comprising R S Jain, 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu and Rajesh Sekhri, Additional District Judge (Bank Cases), Jammu, took up 75 cases and settled 32 cases and Rs 62, 39, 000 was compromised. Bench No 2 comprising Vinod Chatterji Koul, 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge Jammu and Kishore Kumar Bhagat, Presiding Officer Divisional Consumer Forum Jammu, settled 39 cases and recovery of Rs 24, 00, 000 were passed. Bench No 3 comprising Sanjeev Bhagat, Additional District Judge (Matrimonial Cases), Jammu and Kusoom Pandita, City Judge Jammu took-up 10 cases of which five cases were settled and an amount of Rs 11, 25, 2000 was realized as permanent alimony. Bench No 4 comprising R N Wattal, Electricity Magistrate Jammu and Pervez Iqbal, Sub-Registrar took-up 130 cases and settled 63 cases. Bench No 5 comprising Y P Kotwal, Special Mobile Magistrate (Passenger Tax and Shops) Jammu and Renu Dogra, 2nd Additional Munsiff Jammu, settled 180 cases out of 200 cases taken up for disposal. Similarly Munsiff Court Akhnoor took up 26 criminal and five civil cases of which 17 criminal cases and four civil cases were disposed off. |
