| Wrestling association condemned govt attitude towards wrestlers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27: Prem Chowdhary, chairman, Indian style wrestling association strongly condemned the discriminatory attitude of the government of Jammu and Kashmir towards wrestling which is a game of the youths of the Jammu. While talking to media he said that many wrestlers of Jammu have won national level medals in wrestling in different years but the state government did not provide any infrastructure including the mats to the wrestlers. Chowdhary said that when the wrestling competition in the country or outside the country take place, it is played on mats and denial of the state government in providing the mats to the wrestlers has snatched the opportunity of the wrestlers of Jammu province from becoming national and international players. Chowdhary further said that as the wrestling is the game of Jammu province, so the sports department of the state government is deliberately and intentionally not providing the infra-structure of this game, nor the player of this game are encouraged.
