Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 27: Under the lightening fast change in political scenario in the state, the central committee members of Panun Kashmir gave a clarion call to the community to remain vigilant against the machinations of vested interests. It also reiterated its demand for creation of separate Homeland for seven lakh Kashmiri Pundits as the only viable and permanent solution of their return to the valley.
Central committee members expressed their apprehension that some “Compromise formula” has been worked out to appease the separatist and protagonists of self rule, autonomy and joint control doctrines. The recent alarming statement of “quiet diplomacy “of the Union Home Minister, the Chief Minister of the state and the Chairman All Party Hurriyat Conference are more than enough to draw such inevitable conclusion by Panun Kashmir. Central Committee members in the light of grave challenges ahead, resolved with majority voice to have all powerful 27 member supreme council as the supreme body to monitor the developments and decide the future course of action to meet the challenges ahead. In order to smoothen the process the central committee directed both the leaders of the organization viz; Dr.Agnishekhar Convenor and Ashwani Kumar Chrangoo President to surrender their respective positions to the newly created supreme council to facilitate the restructuring of the organization at national and international level.
Henceforth the supreme council shall be the only instrument authorized to take decisions and evolve responses on behalf of the organization. The members with majority voice also resolved to appoint Daya Krishan Koul as interim co-ordinator till the new vibrant structure is formed at national and international levels.
