Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar ordered the release of SMHS hospital official Syed Altaf Rizvi arrested in connection with his alleged involvement in sexual exploitation case on bail today,
Details available indicate that bail applications of four accused including Eye Technician SMHS Hospital Syed Altaf Rizvi S/O Syed Hussain R/O Doctor Colony Lal Bazar, Manager Mugal Darbar Bakery Karan Nagar Srinagar, Hilal Ahmed Shah S/O late Gh Ahmed R/O Nowpora Khanyar, former cashier of District Police Lines Srinagar Absar Ahmed Dar S/O Ab Aziz R/O Tulsibagh Solina and Shopkeeper Aijaz Ahmed Bhat S/O Gh Nabi R/O Gaw Kadal Srinagar arrested in connection with the investigation of women's sexual exploitation case came up for hearing before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar today. The CBI's investigation officer S.L.Gupta was present during the course of hearing in the court.
The CBI had already submitted charge sheets against all the four accused persons on September 29 this year following which the Judge had fixed October 3 the date for next hearing on their bail applications. After taking into view the charge sheets filed by CBI against SMHS hospital official Syed Altaf Rizvi, Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar ordered his release for lack of evidence. The accused were arrested in August 4 this year and CBI had registered a case U/S 3,4,5,6,7 PITA and 376, 292 and 34 RPC registered against them. |
