Jammu, Oct 29: Dogra Liberation Front (DLF) today held a protest demonstration in front of Divisional Commissioner’s Office, demanding stern action against the guilty police personnel responsible in custodial killing of Rajneesh Sharma in Srinagar.
Ram Paul Sharma, President, “Killing of Rajneesh Sharma was as heinous as Shopian murder and rape case was, as he was tortured to death by the police officials, so we demanded case should be referred to CBI”.
“No action has been taken so far to punish the guilty police personnel”, he alleged and added “On the one hand, senior police officers have been placed under suspension and subjected to interrogation on the charges of fudging of evidence in Amandeep Murder case but on the other hand, nothing has been done to in Rajneesh Sharma’s custodial killing who belongs to a poor family and was only earning hand of the family”. He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who often ensures equitable development and justice to all has failed to deliver justice in the case of Rajneesh.
Sharma later submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through Divisional Commissioner and demanded immediate action in the matter.Others who addressed the dharna were Kapil Dev Sharma, Vice President DLF, Pinki Bandral, General Secretary, Kuldeep Kumar, Distt. President.
