| Symposium on “Global Warming” held in Doda | | | Early Times Report
Doda:- A Symposium on “GLOBAL WARMING” was organised at Government City Middle School (Boys) Doda under the aegis of ECO Club of India. Satish Kumar Raina, HOD DIET District Doda was the Chief Guest while Riaz Hussain Mintoo Senior Lecturer was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The programme was presided over by the Headmistress of the School, Kishwar Sultana.
In her inaugural address, she highlighted the importance of tress & plants in lives of mankind & asked the students to work for the pollution free environment. As many 20 students drawn from different classes participate in the Symposium & deliver lecture on Global Warming.
Chief Guest, Satish Kumar Raina in his address said that pollution prevalent in our environment is relentlessly on the rise, despite some corrective measure. It is at present one of the major problem being faced not only by one nation but by the entire world. He further said that it is the duty of all, whether as an individual or in collective capacity to save the environment. Riaz Hussain Mintoo, Senior Lecturer also spoke of the occasion. The work of stage secretary was carried out by Saddam Hussain. Later, Chief Guest distributed prizes among all the participants. Beside the staff of the school, the programme was also attended by senior citizens & intellectuals of the area.
